In this day in age we are fed sugar on the daily but its important to realize the dangers of it and to be able to avoid it.

When talking about sugar there is two different types. There is natural sugar and there is added sugar. Natural sugar is something that is found in fruits and is naturally okay for your body while added sugar is sugar that is put into food and is very very unhealthy for the body. The negative effects of eating too much sugar can potentially be deadly such as increasing your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, depression, and kidney disease. Not only that but it also causes you to gain wieght and can speed up age progression. Even though there are so many reasons to quit it can be very daunting to do so partly because of the massive amounts already in our diets and the dependence we have on the tiny white sugary speck but there is still a way! You don't have to completely cut sugar out of your diet but atleast try to minimize it by following these five simple tricks:
1. Reduce the amount of sugar drinks you consume such as Coke (39 grams of sugar), Gatorade (36 grams of sugar), and even some coffee.
2. Step away from deserts for five out of seven days. If that's too hard you can start smaller with one out of seven days or two or really anything that you feel comfortable with.
3. Compare, Compare, Compare! Make sure you compare food labels and choose the option with the lowest sugar content
4. Buy Unsweetened Verisons of food or products that say "No Added Sugar." It might taste gross at first but your body and taste buds will love you later. I promise.
5. Consume smaller portions of high-sugary foods.
Its as simple as that! Now it's time to mention the benefits of getting rid of natural sugar. A decline of sugar intake has shown lower cholesteral levels, blood pressure levels, reduced inflamamtion, smoother clearer skin and an overall healthier appeal. So we all know that sugar is bad but the real question is: Is this worth the withdrawls? The answer is YES! Your body will thank you later (and if you do have sugar withdrawals make sure to drink tons of sugar free tea!)
Located on the top is a woman's sugar intake tracker and located on the bottom is the man's sugar intake tracker. Everyday all you have to do is track the amount of sugar you eat and hopefully be able to reduce it!
