50 Things to do when you're bored out of your mind

1. Run down to your local thrift store and grab a puzzle!
You can easily get lost in a 500 word jigsaw puzzle. Always feel free to start smaller at 250 but this will definitely take up your time.
2. Grab a pack of seeds and start your own little garden.
There is nothing more rewarding then seeing your little plants start growing. If you're feeling veen slightly bored then I highly recommend grabbing a cup of dirt and starting your own tiny baby garden.
3. Play a board game with some family members.
You can take it back old school and convince your family to sit down and play a game of CLUE! or even Monopoly.

4. Go for a walk and calm your mind
There are so many benefits to walking such as a relaxed state of mind and a higher state of awarness that even a five minute walk can help you mentally.

5. Reorganize something in your house and change it up
Get crafty with a new style or design!
6. Find a good book and get lost in it.
You can go down to your local library and get lost in their endless amounts of books. The best part is that if you don't like it then you can return it and get another one.

7. Go on a run
Improve your miles per hour. The avergae mile is about 9 to 10 minutes.
8. Find local clubs in your area to attend (I play at a local chess and mahjong club)
All I did was research clubs in my local area and a whole bunch popped up. I emailed the president of the clubs and now I am a content member of several different interesting clubs.
9. Cook a meal
Spend quality time with your family or your self and make a meal that even Gordon Ramsey would be proud of. There are tons of different blogs with great instructions on how to make 10/10 quality meals.

10. Go on a bike ride
A bike ride can easily reduce the boredom level from a five to a one. All you have to do is hop on a bike and enjoy the scenery and nature around you.
11. Start a journal and write about your day.
Writing a gratitude journal or even a bullet journal will be an easy and productive ten minute task to start doing every day.

12. Learn how to make Origami hearts and swans
This is always a crowd pleaser and a interesting skill to have.
13. Write a letter
Writing a letter has been known to improve mental health and is a great way to show people that you care.

14. Go feed the ducks at your local park
The little ducks at the pond are so sassy and I recommend taking the time out of your busy schedule and go down to your local park.

15. Find a museum near you
There can be several interesting museums around you that you may have never even noticed. Look up a museum near you and go explore!
16. Draw
You don't have to be the best drawler in the world to pick up a pen and start doodling. It's a great way to express yourself and who knows, you might even get better at it. You ight be the next Leonardo Da Vinci.
17. Get a Pen Pal and start writing letters

18. learn about a new conspiracy theory
You don't have to believe in any of them but it's any interesting rabbit hole to dive into. It's also a great conversation starter for any situation. ANY SITUATION.

20. Watch a documentary on a topic that interests you
There are so many interesting ones that are online for free or on Netflix / Hulu / ETC. I highly recommend taking an hour or two and diving into a topic that interests you.
21. List out a set of goals for your future
The future is coming and right now is probably the best time to set some goals for yourself. You can set either long term, short term, or both types of goals.
22. Go through your clothes and donate the ones you don't want
It's a win - win for both parties. People that are impoverished get new clothes and you get a cleaner and a more organized closet.
23. Plant a tree in a random spot in your town
This is one of my top things to do when I am bored but buying the tree can get expensive so you are welcome to buy a small plant. I recommend planting the tree in an area thats lacking them. After planting it, I always like to go back and check - in on the plant.
24. Binge watch a Murder mystery series
There's not much to say except: do it. These murder mysteries get me hooked.
I recomend: Unsolving mysteries Buzzfeed or the Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix.
25. Do five minute meditation
There are so many benefits to this one and it only takes a of five minutes. If you are bored even in the slightest then grab a soft item and sit on the floor. Close your eyes and breath.
26. Workout
The internet is a magical place with so many interesting and free things. One free thing on the internet are workout guides. My favorite youtubers that focus on working out is Chloe Ting, MadFit, or tutorials on Pintrest.
27. Learn how to do Calligraphy
Calligraphy is a beautiful writing style that will impress friends, family, and coworkers. It isn't too hard to learn with the help of stencils and helpful guides.

28. Volnteer in your community
Call up different organizations in your community and give back during your time of boredom.
29. Start a blog
There is WIX, Weebly, Wordpress and so many other platforms to start your blog with. If you have been thinking about blogging but have just never done it then take this as a message to start today.

An easy way to spend the better half of a day is by figuring out where your next vacation is going to be at. Get adventurous with it and figure out all the details for the trip. If you don't end up going then that's okay to. Half of the fun is in the planning.

Not sponsored (I swear). It's overall, a simple ap that will teach you the basics of any language. It works your brain and it a productive way to spend an hour.
34. Listen to a podcast
There are thousands of interesting podcasts that range from funny, to mystery, to informational. It is so easy to get lost in them. My personal favorite is a spotify mystery podcast called: Morbid.
35. Organize your folder files on your computer
If you're anything like me then your computer files are all over the place which can cause your computer to slow down. Just take a day and delete, move, and organize all your files.
36. Write thank you notes
Sitting down and writing a thank you note can benefit yourself and show people a sense of gratitude. A thank you note can make yours and somebody else's day.

37. Call a friend
Call a friend up that you haven't talked to in a while. Talk about the weather or maybe go get tea. Whatever it is just have fun reuniting with past people.

You can go on google maps and view new places with the street view option. It will take you to some pretty weird places (you have been warned).

There are thousands of western philosophers that helped change the mentality and ideals of the world. It's an interesting topic and might help you with guidance in the long run.
